The Guernsey Velo Club Womens Road Bike series is a 4 race series open only to women. You do not have to be a Velo club member, and you do not need to have any previous racing experience and you don't have to enter the whole series. The only requirements to race are a bike and helmet
There are four races taking place on the following dates:
5th July -Time Trial. 6.30am for a 7.00am start at Cobo - Mim's Kiosk car park.
The 10mile race starts at Cobo heads south to Rocquaine before turning and heading back to finish just after Vistas. riders set off in 1 minute intervals.

26th July - Road Race - 6.30am for a 7.00am start - location tbc
9th August - Road Race - 6.30am for a 7.00am start at St. Saviours Community Centre.
a group race, setting off from St. Saviours Community Centre following the road towards Hougue Fouque crossroads, turning left to pass Blanchelande College & St. Andrews Church. Turn left after St. Andrews Church down Talbot Valley and through Kings Mills. Over the Dos D'Ane to Le Mont Saint, sharp left heading up past the reservoir to return to the Community Centre to complete a lap. Race will be up to 4 laps.

27th August - Crit Race -5.30pm for a 6.00pm start at Delancey Park.
Criterium races consist of short, high intensity races creating great wheel to wheel racing. A closed road environment makes this a fun way to race.

Race entry is £5 per race or £20 for the series, if you only want to enter 1 race you can, you don't have to commit to the whole series. You can even pay on the day (but please complete the race entry on the website)
This will be a friendly, welcoming and inclusive race for all abilities and offer a perfect environment for anybody wishing to try bike racing for the first time, but also offer some competitive & fun racing as well.

Any road bike with either drop handlebars or flat bars and road tires. helmets are mandatory
