About Scarborough Rowing Club

Scarborough Rowing Club is a community-focused rowing organization offering recreational and competitive opportunities for all ages and abilities. With around one hundred members spread across a handful of squads, the club combines novice development, junior coaching, masters rowing and competitive crews. Members enjoy coastal and estuarial rowing, sculling sessions, and participation in regional regattas and head races.

Activities and coaching

Training is structured to suit everyone from beginners learning boat-handling and water safety to experienced rowers preparing for race season. Sessions include on-water coached pieces, land-based fitness and technique work, and regular club outings. The club also runs learn-to-row programs, junior development camps, and social events that strengthen the local rowing community.
