A 3-1 result and a 7-0 worthy performance, with the performance for me being the greatest pride. A superb effort from all the players and superb support from all the parents. 

A very fast-paced and intense game like this one is always going to be contentious and competitive, but everyone managed to stay respectful and gracious, setting an excellent example for some of our opponent players and parents. 

Players  demonstrated  an improved idea of individual and team positioning and used the width excellently, which is very rewarding, as the focus of many of our sessions so far have been based on using the width effectively. 

We have also further developed our aggression, strength and bravery in duels. I would argue that this is the area of most significant improvement, with the difference in bravery and aggression being night and day after only a few weeks. 

Our press from the front was excellent, creating at least 10 opportunities inside the box. However, many of these shots were underhit, or hit straight at the goalkeeper, which is why the scoreline wasn't as high as it could have been. We worked on finishing today and we will continue to do so over the next few weeks.
