Such a great game to be involved in and to watch today, with all the boys playing well.
There's been massive improvement in these boys since they began their journey in September, and they should all be proud of themselves.聽
After falling behind to a couple of early goals, the boys started to play and got it back to 3-1, with Oscar getting his 1st goal in a competitive game for us.
The 3rd quarter was probably the best we've seen them play this season.聽
They pressed the ball high up the pitch which lead to us going into the 4th quarter 6-5 up after Oscar amazingly bagged another 4 goals.
A final score of 7-6 in an end to end game.
Alfie, Arthur, Zach and Farley were unlucky not to all of at least had 1 goal each, with Long & Andy both so strong playing the sole DF role.
Great to see the boys adapting so well to a different formation playing 1-1-1-2, with the single MD player having so much work to do transitioning from DF to ATT and having to cover lots of ground.聽
It's a risky formation but it makes for exciting games with lots of goals which makes for enjoyable football for everyone, which is the no.1 priority at these foundation years.
With Dom in goal behind them though, they know they have a solid GK.
