Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) offers free heart screening for young people aged 14–35, helping to detect underlying heart conditions that often show no symptoms at all.
- In the UK, at least 12 young people lose their lives each week to undiagnosed heart conditions
- Many of these conditions can be identified through a simple, painless ECG test
- Early detection can help prevent serious incidents and save lives
What does screening involve?
A short medical questionnaire
A quick ECG (heart trace)
Further checks (like an echocardiogram) if needed
Key message: You don’t need symptoms to have an underlying condition

As a club, the safety and wellbeing of our players always comes first. Raising awareness around cardiac health is something that could make a real difference.
If your child is in the eligible age group (14+), or you know someone who is, it’s definitely worth taking a look.
