Lionesses Walking Football starts in Halton

Women's Over 40's Walking Football

The club is proud to announce the formation of a New Over 40's Women's Walking Football Team, based in Halton, Cheshire. 

Our Lionesses started their training sessions on the 7th March at the Heath School in Runcorn, with weekly sessions taking place throughout the year. 

Each training session is 1 hour long and will include, development and fitness training as well as competitive games. Suitable for all abilities for fun, friendship and fitness. 

The club will look to build and develop players ready to play competitions in Cheshire and Liverpool.  As well as take part in future WFA National Cup competitions.

Team Update

It's only been 2 weeks and the sessions have got off to a flying start with the Lionesses gelling as a team on and off the pitch. There has been some great improvement already in fitness and ability in players. There is a Fun and friendly atmosphere at the sessions and everyone seems to be enjoying taking part. We are still looking to recruit new players 40+ for Competitive matches and a development squad. ( 30+ yr olds can take part for fun )
