New Partnership Agreed With St Francis Mackworth

AFC Mackworth is delighted to agree a partnership with St Francis Mackworth for the 2023-24 season.

As a local church on the Mackworth estate in Derby St Francis are about the following things as a local church in the community: Worshipping God, Growing community and Serving the estate.

St Francis will proudly display the ‘Alpha’ logo on the sleeve of all AFC Mackworth home shirts, as well as on the front of the Seniors’ away shirt.

Alpha began at a church called Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) in London in 1977. The number of people attending Alpha grew quickly into the hundreds and attracted the attention of other churches across denominations seeking to find an effective tool for evangelism.

Now, all over the world, millions of people have tried Alpha. The Alpha Talks have been repackaged for today’s audience in the Alpha Film Series and the Alpha Youth Series – created to reach a younger generation with the Gospel.
