North Norfolk Judo Club Annual Club Championships

Join us on Saturday 12 July 2025 for a highlight in the club calendar – the North Norfolk Judo Club Annual Club Championships! Taking place at Alderman Peel High School, Wells-next-the-Sea, with a 10am start, this event is a celebration of everything our club has achieved this year.

Whether you're a seasoned judoka or just starting out, this friendly in-house tournament is open to all members. It is a closed event, so that means just members of our club will take part, so if it is your first try at a competition, this is a great, friendly start in a familiar setting with familiar faces.

For just £7 entry, participants will have the opportunity to experience competition in a fun, supportive setting. Every participant will receive a medal, and we’ll also be presenting our annual club awards, including:

• The Rush Shield

• The Julie Lish Shield

• The Alf Hopkins Shield

• Throw of the Day

• Players’ Player

• Coaches’ Player

• Spirit of Judo

These awards recognise not just technical ability, but the values and character that define judo and our club community.

We’re proud of the inclusive, positive environment we’ve built together at North Norfolk Judo Club. This event is as much about celebrating camaraderie and personal growth as it is about competition. We hope to see families, friends, and supporters cheering on from the side-lines.

Entry closes on 03 July 2025, so please make sure to sign up and pay in advance to take part.

We’re also continuing our fundraising efforts to replace our ageing mats, ensuring we can provide a safe and high-quality training environment for all our members. If you're attending, please do bring any spare change – there’ll be collection pots on the day and every donation is gratefully received.
