About Guildford Ultimate
Guildford Ultimate is a friendly community club dedicated to Ultimate Frisbee, welcoming players of all abilities. As a well-established local side, the club runs regular training sessions, competes in local leagues and tournaments, and organizes social events that bring members together off the pitch. With more than 100 members across around three teams, the club combines competitive fixtures with recreational opportunities for newcomers and experienced players alike.
Location and Local Area
Based in High Wycombe, a lively Buckinghamshire town with parks, sports facilities and good transport links.
Training, Matches and Community
Training typically focuses on core skills—throwing, cutting, defensive positioning—alongside team tactics and fitness. Sessions are tailored to different abilities, so beginners can learn the basics while experienced players sharpen competitive play. The club participates in weekend fixtures and regional tournaments, and it hosts open practices and coaching clinics throughout the year. Community is central: social gatherings, volunteer-led coaching, and outreach to local schools help maintain an inclusive atmosphere.
Why We Use SportMember
Guildford Ultimate relies on SportMember to streamline administration and communication. The platform centralizes member records, schedules training and matches, and helps coordinate availability and attendance. Using SportMember reduces paperwork and makes it easy for team captains and volunteers to manage logistics, so the club can focus on playing and growing the community.
