Away v Sallins

On a not so sunny evening in Sallins, our U11 girls continued their fantastic season with another brilliant performance against a strong Sallins team.

With a resilient Sallins defense Naas struggle to break them down in the 1st half despite playing most of the attacking football.

The deadlock was broken early in the 2nd half with Naas constant pressure paying off. Once the first goal went in 3 more followed quickly with some brilliant passing and movement from all the girls. Sallins got a consolation in the last few minutes but made not impact on the result or the performance from the Girls in Pink⚽💪🏻🩷.

1. Lauren O'Reilly:

Our super shot stopper never lets the team down. Made some crucial saves when called up on and her distribution kept the team going forward through the whole game. The team is lucky to have her.

2. Kitty Hill:

Came into the defense and stood up to everything Sallins throw at her in the first half. Moved into midfield in the 2nd half and never stopped from beginning to end. A player who continues to improve every week.

3. Julia Krol:

Julia was a rock in defense and is developing into an all round player. Carried the ball out from the back and got a well deserved goal in the 2nd half. Continues to get better & stronger every week.

4. Claire McGrath:

Played both in midfield and defense this evening and had a fantastic game. Playing in the centre midfield keep the team moving with great passing and came up with a brilliant assist running down the wing to cross for our 1st goal.

5. Ava Hartigan:

Ava started in attack and caused Sallins defense serious problems, was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Moved into midfield and defense in the 2nd half. As captain she led by example from start to finish.

6. Abbeygail O'Connor:

Despite picking up an early injury, Abbeygail dusted herself off and get back on to pitch to put on a masterclass of wing play. She was a constant threat with some brilliant crosses and assists. Always brave and full of quality.

7. Aoibhann McNally:

Another constant threat on the wing, Aoibhann showed her quality that has gotten her called into the KDUL Squad with 2 great goals. One a fantastic strike from Abbeygail cross and another brilliant team goal. Never stops working hard for the team.

8. Aoife Flanagan:

Aoife carrying an injury started on the bench this evening. She came on to change the game, controlling the midfield with powerful running and quality passing off both feet. Another recent KDUL player with a very bright future .

9. Emily Sheridan:

The youngest player in the squad also came off the bench to make a massive difference in the game. Broke the deadlock with a clever movement and a clinical finish. She was always a constant threat and will not doubt add to her growing tally of goals.
