U12 Calcio Talent & Select - Evo York

A late one on a Friday in York. Thanks to everyone committing in the cold and a late one. Bit an enjoyable game despite the result!

We started well and had lots of chances first 20mins to get a few ahead but instead went 1 up when caleb scored from distance.

An equaliser from Evo got them back level after half time and our response was great with Hugo poking home 5 minutes later.

2 goals conceded in the last 20 from us just not putting pressure on the shot and a team lapse in concentration cost us.

Performance wise I felt we did well but we got drawn into a long ball game too often and didnt play through the thirds as well as i know we can.

We need to braver to get on the ball in our own half to exploit the overload in midfield we have when playing against teams with 3 at the back. When we did that today with Mika, Lennie, Caleb and Jenson we created lots of chances to turn their defence and create chances.

On another day we win but thats football!
