I guess it was worth the early morning and long trip away 😅
What a performance from the boys. Dominated from start to finish. Playing on a bigger pitch really benefited us. Some of the football we played today was class. Our pressing & intensity out of possession was really good as well. And some of the goals we scored was amazing.
It’s great to see the lads playing on a much bigger pitch as well. Getting different physical demands and challenges. Which I think the boys coped with really well. Also, good to see players develop in different ways by playing in different positions on the pitch.
Some of the finishes and constant movement to run forwards and in behind their defence was really get to see. As we saw loads of success attacking from both the wide and central areas of the pitch.
MOTM - Theo Marshall. I thought he was brilliant upfront. His decision making on the ball, his pressing & intensity to win it back and followed up with some brilliant strikes; scoring 5 goals and creating 2. Made him my MOTM 👏
Well done all, for putting great individual moments into the game and combining really well as a team.
Looking forward to keep building on these performances against much stronger opponents too 🙌
