U10 Calcio Talent & Select - Yorkshire RTC Yellows U10

Calcio U10's produced a confident and dominant performance to win 9-4 against Yorkshire RTC Yellows in our first seeding game of the season.

The first period started like a house on fire with Freddie and lewen quickly getting off the mark to begin the new season the way they ended the last one. We got quickly into our stride, especially with our press, punishing their 2 CB formation in their half. The press was particularly effective leading to two of our goals in this period. Firstly Freddie pressing, winning the ball and scoring on his own and then isaac pressing to win the ball for jude to fire home inside the box.

The second period saw Yorkshire RTC score a couple of goals of their own, catching us on the break. It was a challenge for our subs to get into the game and up to speed but were doing extremely well to understand their marking and pressing roles to ensure we continued to dominate the physical & transitional nature of the game.

The final period saw us turn the screw on the opposition and put the game beyond doubt, with more goals from freddie & kyle and solid assists again from shacks and isaac.

MoM goes to captain freddie who dominated with his high press and clinical finishing. Special mention for Duke who was calm & confident at CB and really controlled the game for us when he was on the pitch. Thank you to the players who went in net, selfless team play. We will have a new keeper in a week or so and will not need to rotate outfielders in net (we cant wait for that!).
