U10 Calcio Talent & Select - Pro Elite

A game against a physical opposition. We made a big deal out of preparing the players for a battle during the game. We managed to compete really well physically and even beat their physicality which allowed us to get on the ball more.

Despite the big pitch we played well and managed to play some nice Football at times. I felt like we were really effective on the counter attack which is something we worked on this week when transitioning. We utilized the wide players really well and scored some nice goals from these positions.

Towards the end of the game we had to dig in a little bit and defend the goal to maintain the 3-2 lead.

Some different elements shown in today’s performance, lots of positives to take but we continue to develop with each week as we head into pre season.
