U16 Calcio Talent and Select - U16 Chesterfield Community Trust

A game played in difficult conditions for both sides meant that the game was a little bit scrappy. The first 20mins was very balanced going into the break at 0-0.

We conceded a soft goal which put them 1-0 up, we struggled to deal with the ball in behind and lacked decisiveness when clearing the ball. We then conceded a 2nd goal right before the break from a free kick that looped high into the goal, assisted from the wind.

We then had a few chances in the game and stayed competitive but it was always difficult trying to chase the game against a good side. They went onto score 2 more goals and took the game away from us.

We carried on though and finished the game positively with some chances and scored a well worked goal from Jake finishing across the goalkeeper.

Main take away from this game is that we expected the level to be higher, the speed and physicality of the game definitely is stronger; so we need to be prepared for that each week.
