U9 Calcio Select - U9 Yorkshire Ammers

First third we were below our usual standard with players switching off and getting into the game.

From there, the team showed great character. For the rest of the match, the players played in line with what we were looking for from Friday sessions, rebuilding from the keeper, finding the free player and keeping hold of the ball. That's exactly the style we've been working towards, and it was great to see it come together.

Defensively, our 2-2 shape worked well. The one thing to work on is that Ammers kept pulling our players out wide, which left one defender facing a 2v1. We'll look at how we communicate and cover in those situations at training.

Well done to all the players for their effort and hope everyone has a good weekend.
