Razor FC Youth u13 - Avon League - Westland Sports Youth (Hawks)
What a game!
This had everything - a slow start, couple of errors, a bit of bite and the perfect amount of aggression but most importantly it was two teams who put in 100% player for player across the pitch for the whole 60 minutes. The boys may have made the worst possible start but we never give up at Razor and they have shown time and time again if all 9 players on the pitch pull together, encourage each other and put in the maximum effort that they can over turn any deficit and they sure did this today. Incredibly proud of the way the boys played their way back into the game today, trusted themselves individually and each other to overpower the opposition to victory despite Westland doing everything they could to disrupt their flow with some tasty tackles. It was the perfect mix of neat passing football and counter attacking football today.. evidenced by a hat-trick of assists for Teddy at centre back playing direct into Elijah for his own hat-trick. The roar of the crowd when Fin Jones put us into the lead could be heard from nearby Chilcompton 😆🤣
And what about "that" ball from Arlo whipped into the box to be met by the relentless Ralphy flying through the air for a volley straight into the roof of the net. Outstanding play from Arlo and what a goal from Ralphy.
Difficult to pick out a man of the match today everywhere I looked there was top class performances, however Teddy P-H just edges it, an absolute unit today at the back, won every header there was to win, let the opposition attackers feel his presence with some crunching tackles and grabbed himself the 3 assists. Class by him but overall an outstanding team effort.
Please select for your own man of the match on the vote 👍
Special shout out the the parents/supporters today, your constant words of encouragement for the boys no doubt helped them immensely especially when trying to get back into the game. Thank you!
On we go to Round 3.. the draw I believe will be next Friday live on Facebook 👌⚽🏆
