Boys U15 (2011) Major 2 Blue - Kilcock Celtic

A comprehensive win by the lads, with a 7:1 victory against Kilcock Celtic, by far the lads best performance of the season so far, with an overall team victory based on discipline and hunger.
The first half saw the lads score two goals, the first from Zsombor after only 2 minutes closely followed by a goal from Freddie after an assist from Zsombor. The sides were fairly level for the first half with Kilcock getting their only goal 25 minutes in. We should have been awarded a penalty when Fionn was taken down in the box before half time, but missed by the referee.
Our lads started the second half with great determination and skill, with massive pressure put on the Kilcock defence, and it was not long before Fionn scored from a Nikko corner kick, 4 mins into the second half. 5 minutes later Nikko is taken down in the box and scored the penalty to have our lads 4:1. Nikko unluckily had another shot saved by the Keeper soon after. With 20 minutes to go Fionn was taken down in the box but unfortunately could not convert the penalty into a goal, but the lads kept the pressure on and Nikko scored his second of the match with a super strike which was followed 3 minutes later by Freddie for his second, again a super strike. With a minute to go, Joe, who had just come off the bench sealed the victory with a goal, leaving us 7:1 winners!
The lads deserved this win and it is a result of their hard work in training and the discipline they have shown as a team.
We stay top of the league, with another home game next weekend.
Enjoy the remainder of your weekend.
