Boys U15 (2011) Premier - Monasterevin

Much improved performance from Naas today against a Monasterevin team who really battled throughout the match
Naas settled much the better with the outstanding Jamie Byrnes along with Fabio Kolakowski taking early control in midfield.
This early dominance was rewarded in the 10th minute when a free kick cleared by a Monasterevin defender was met with a beautiful strike from Fabio Kolakowski outside the box to give Naas a deserved lead
Naas continued to dominate with Roddy Cummins carrying a serious threat throughout on the left wing which lead to him setting up a routine finish for Dara o Shea to make it 2-0 as half time approached
Early in the 2nd half Naas were turned over in a strong attacking position and conceded on the break to a goal we would have to be disappointed to concede from a defensive perspective. Up to this point Ilya Cerepanovs was having an excellent match at the back
The team responded swiftly and Roddy Cummins was taken down for a penalty. Unfortunately the spot kick was missed but the team continued to probe and a beautiful pass from Dara o Shea set Dylan Hynes away on the right wing and his pace took him clear to finish brilliantly and make it 3-1 with 15 mins to go
Again with 10 minutes to go a loss of concentration playing out from the back lead to the concession of a penalty which Monasterevin converted
Naas immediately went back on the front foot and the victory was sealed when Senan Browne slipped a perfectly weighted pass for the oncoming Dara o Shea to finish brilliantly to the net
A deserved victory for Naas which should have been much more comfortable based on the overall dominance. Some areas to work on which will continue to improve but overall a very purposeful contribution from all players today
Best for Naas today
