HOME match vs Naas AFC White. Kick-off at 2pm, meet up at 1:15pm

A tough 4–2 defeat, but the scoreline certainly doesn’t reflect how well the team played today.

We dominated the first half, creating plenty of attacking opportunities and taking control of the midfield, denying the opposition any real opportunity to build attacks.

⚽ Cian opened the scoring with a great header, finishing a cross from Senan after Scott started the move with an excellent long pass.

Luke Brennan stepped in between the posts and did a fantastic job, making some important saves and keeping the opposition out whenever they managed to get shots on target.

We continued to dominate in the second half and responded brilliantly after the opposition equalised, quickly scoring our second goal to regain the lead.

Unfortunately, tiredness and a loss of concentration in the final 15 minutes allowed the opposition back into the game, and they scored three late goals to make it 4–2.

The result is definitely not a fair reflection of our performance. Our game plan is working, the players are putting it into practice, and we are moving in the right direction. There are still a couple of areas we need to improve, particularly maintaining our concentration and intensity right through to the final whistle.

⭐ Player of the Match: Luke Brennan – for stepping up in goal and making plenty of important saves throughout the match. Well done, Luke!

We’ll continue to rotate the captaincy to give different players the opportunity and responsibility. We’ll nominate the next captain and match squad on Thursday.

Well done to all the lads. Keep working, keep improving and the results will come. 👏⚽
