Boys U11's Lightning - Racing Club Warwick Gold

Stockton Lightning U11 3 v 1 Racing Club Warwick Gold

At home this morning, Stockton as a venue looked great and was complimented by the opposition.

The Lightning team provided a performance to be proud of too, and from a competitive game, gained a deserved win. Especially impressive against a team that were unbeaten this season.

Every player put in huge effort and impressed in different ways, all equally important to the team and working together.

We only had 7 players and without a sub, after going 1-0 up had to play more than 10 minutes with 6 players, after Kyle suffered a heavy knock. The boys kept their positional discipline and at the break we retained our lead.

The second half was more open, both keepers made saves and after getting a second Stockton goal, Racing Club got stronger and pushed hard, getting a goal themselves to make it tight again before a third goal for Kyle effectively sealed the win.

Hats off to the Stockton lads, a hard game, but the best team on the day.

PPOTM ⚡️Ernest - A couple of top saves, good distribution and awareness.

CPOTM ⚡️Jenson - composure on the ball, supurb support and movement off the ball. I also want to mention that I heard Jenson advising and motivating his teammates throughout the game.
