Girls U10's Lionesses - upper Lighthorne

An amazing match for the girls, we're really getting together as a team ❤️🖤
The start of the first half saw us being the better team and playing a lot of football in their half, we just couldn't get the ball from our feet.
They took their opportunities in our half and scored a few goals, but the girls didn't let that bother them and we had 4 or 5 chances but we just didn't put the power behind the ball
Behind at half time I asked the girls to play their football and gave them a few missions one being for Amelia to score 3 goals and our Darcey in goal to pick up the ball in our box.
The girls went out with passion but unfortunately conceded another goal. They weren't happy about that but kept their heads up, they got the ball to Amelia who put the ball above the keeper and into the back of the net. Lots of battling later with Grace B being pushed in the back in our box whilst defending and non stop running from all of the girls, they got another chance and again passed the ball to Amelia who put it in the top corner again. They weren't done there though and the ball was played through again for a 3rd goal from Amelia.
There were amazing runs from Charlotte, Scarlett, Hattie, Eva, Little Grace, Grace D and Eva which all contributed to the goals today. Alongside some amazing saves from Grace D in the first half and Darcey in the second half. The missions given at half time were a success and although we lost by 1 goal the girls left everything on that pitch.
