Boys U11 (2014) Blue - Kells Celtic Youth Tournament 7v7
It was an early start for us all today for the Kells Celtic Tournament.
Always a great day and a very well organised tournament.
We as coaches, couldn’t be more proud of this bunch of lads today, they were absolutely amazing, great teamwork, they all showed up for each other, supported each other in every game and some brilliant football ⚽️ ….by god did they show us today what they can do when they are on it and they work together 🔥
Topped their group after first 3 Games, then went on to beat Mochtas 2-1 a top tier DDSL team in the next stage group match, then we won against Newbridge Town 2-0 in the quarter final.
We then played the eventual winners, Portmarnack, in our semi final and lost unfortunately.
Finishing joint 3rd out of 48 Teams from all over Ireland!!
Not a bad day at the office!!
They didn’t go home with the trophy today but they went home happy lads with new memories locked in which is all that matters.
Thank you as always to the boys parents, siblings and aunts who always show up to support the lads.
We really appreciate you giving your time - these tournaments are brilliant for their soccer development 🙌
