LCSFYL U14 SL 2025/2026 (London County Saturday Football Youth League) - Most Wanted
Brilliant performance overall from the team given we had 9 men for first 5 mins and then 10 men for the whole game. They had 11 + 5 subs.
We had the much much better openings , missing 5 big chances in the first half. We were stronger and faster than them so we decided to lean into channel balls and balls over the top and winning our duels which they could not deal with.
We played a 432/45
they scored with their first shot towards the end of the first half and then scored the second in the second half when the game was getting stretched.
While we played intentionally against their weaknesses, we could have played much better in attacking and attacking transition. Our possession play was direct but still weak and rushed at times.
the non negotiables we have been working on were much much better - attitude, passion, less complaining, heads not dropping.
However a couple still need to track back more.
We will work on our possession game, continuing to improve our combinations out wide, and most importantly composure for finishing as we should have been at least 3-0 up before they scored.
