Girls U13 (2013) - Kilcullen AFC
This was a second win in just four days for a team that is finally getting its rewards after a tough opening to the season.
Amelia Peciulyte scored twice, one a brilliant finish after rounding the goalkeeper. Alex Brereton got her first of the year with another superb strike after running on to a through ball from her advanced midfield position.
An own goal gave Naas a fourth.
Kilcullen hit back late on with a brilliant long-range strike high into the net, but this was a superb effort from the visitors who had been unlucky to lose a cup game 4-2 at the same venue against the opponents just two weeks earlier.
This is basically a new squad, made of players who played Premier and Major last term, some girls playing organized football for the first time, and others who have joined the side mid-season.
Their improvement, individually and as a collective, has been off the charts in the last month with this latest win secured despite the absence of a number of players due to injury, illness and holidays.
