Match Report: Naas v Sallins (Away) KDUL semi u12 girls

Naas came in as underdogs for this game produced an excellent performance to reach their first cup final.

1st Half - Naas started well and took the game to Sallins from the kick off. Some great work from Rosie on the right getting forward releasing both Kate and Aoife up front. Alana had an excellent game in midfield putting tackles in all morning. Naas were solid at the back with Faye, Alex and Aine nullifying an always dangerous Sallins attack.

Aoife lead the line brilliantly all game dragging the Sallins defenders all over the pitch in the first half and creating space and chances for Amelia and Kate. Kate slotted home with a tidy finish to put the visitors Naas 1-0 up.

2nd Half - Sallins started to apply pressure but Naas team remained strong at the back. Lauren was called upon to make a couple of great saves. Evie came on for Rosie who ran herself into the ground in terms of hardwork all game.

Sallins struck back in middle of the half. 1-1 game on. However Naas came back strong again. Amelia who had a player of match performance forced the keeper into 2 point blank saves. She then got the deserved winner. 2-1 Naas. Kate had a great chance at the end that saw the Sallins keeper producing a great save. Naas say out any danger at the end to close the game.

Amazing performance from the 10 girls, they worked their socks off and wanted it more for this game. Performance of the season onwards now to play a tough Moone side in the final. Well done girls!!!
