Boys U10 (2015) Blue - Clane Utd
Naas blue came away with a hard fought win against a great Clane side today. The game got off to a great start for Naas with an early goal from Sebastian Kinlon who got around his man to calmly finish in the bottom corner. Clane's heads didn't drop & they came straight back to score at the other end. Three more Clane goals would follow & it looked like it would not be Naas's day unil a shot from outside the box from Finn rattled the crossbar & gave the lads the boost they badly needed. A Naas goal just before half time from Seb meant we would go into the break two behind with it all to play for in the second half.
After a few halftime changes & a switch in goal, Naas started the stronger team & the chances started coming. Clane were getting no joy with Freddie & Charlie holding firm at the back. Seb completed his hatrick with a superb strike from outside the box finding the top corner. THE COMEBACK WAS ON !
Cillian would be next to hit the crossbar but it was obvious to all that Naas were back in control of the game. We didn't have to wait long before we got rewarded after another great strike from Seb hit the back of the net & the game was level. Cillian would finally get his goal and put Naas infront in the 33rd minute after a great thru ball from midfield found him for a calm finish. Clane gave us a late scare when they too rattled the crossbar. Seamie Keating sealed the game for Naas soon after with a coolly taken finish.
Special mention to our second half keeper Zach Rainbow (who sometimes thought he was playing midfield đ) who kept Clane out & Naas in the game with a great performance.
All the lads should be very proud of their performances today againt a well drilled & phyical Clane team. They all stuck to their roles & performed them superbly. Well done đ
