Girls U11's Lionessess - GNP U11 Panthers

With no pre-season friendlies to draw from it was the U11 Lionesses first venture into 9 a side at home to GNP. In a tight game overall we took the chances that came our way with three excellent goals coming from Molly, Phoebe and Stockton debutant Stacie.

After GNP forced a few early corners, it was Stockton who took the lead through Molly with a composed finish when 1v1 against the keeper, following a counter attack with great pace.

GNP fought back with a well taken goal of their own before Stacie in her first game in Stockton colours restored our lead, a superb calm finish into bottom left corner.

Edith and Rebecca were having a fine game in defence as was Harriet in goal, working hard to keep GNP at bay.

We continued to probe and work the ball well and we’re rewarded with a third goal, Phoebe slotting passed the keeper after a strong run through the defence.

A great first game for the girls and a well deserved 3-1 victory.
