Girls U11's Lionessess - Leamington Lions
A 4-2 cup defeat for U11 Lionesses vs Leamington Lions.
Stockton started well with Stacie going close, clipping the bar and then three times 1v1 would on another day have scored all three. Leamington also had a couple of chances of their own but somehow it was 0-0 at halftime.
Leamington came out strong in the 2nd half and we lost a little bit of our momentum. Two quick goals for Leamington changed the game. Our heads dropped a little and we were 2nd best for a period, during which Leamington capitalised and added two more goals.
Albeit late in the game
Stockton lifted themselves again and scored a couple of good goals through Aimee and Molly. Aimee’s from a well worked corner and a typical powerful finish from Molly, high into the net.
A frustrating defeat but with only 9 available it was a good performance from the Stockton girls but in the end switching off when it mattered most cost us.

PPOTM - ⭐️ Amelia, giving it all she had in defence.
