U13 Blacks vs Evo Sheffield Purple

It was a tough outing for the team as we faced EVO, but there were plenty of promising moments to take away despite the 6–0 final result.

A massive thank you to the players who stepped up to take a turn in goal.

The pitch added an extra layer of difficulty—dry, patchy, bobbly, and covered in sand. While their manager apologised for its condition, the compact size suited the opposition's style on the day.

Despite the conditions, the team's best spell came in the third quarter. When the high press clicked, it completely disrupted their build-up play and forced them long. The lads created several great chances and came so close to finding the back of the net. Unfortunately, against the run of play during our best period of pressure, a lucky goal went in for them and shifted the momentum.

It was a valuable learning experience in tough conditions, and the work rate and high-pressing intensity shown in that third quarter give the team plenty to build on for the next match.
