U16 UFCA 25/26 - Harrogate Town
U16s UFCA vs Harrogate Town
A nervous first half from both sides made it difficult for us to control our emotions and play our usual game. We allowed the match to become stop–start, with constant restarts from set-pieces (corners, free kicks, throw-ins), which suited Harrogate more than us. They capitalised on one of their few clear chances and went ahead.
At half-time, we spoke about staying calm, trusting our process, and getting back to our identity. The reaction was exactly what we wanted. We dominated the ball, played mostly in their half, and created several good chances that on another day would have brought us back level. We just lacked a bit of clinical finishing in front of goal.
After two tough results, it’s important to remember what has brought us success so far. We must not lose sight of who we are as a team. The games ahead will be challenging because teams now expect us to be good — and that’s a compliment. Our job is to stay composed, stick to our principles, and show our quality.
Let’s put these last two results behind us, stick together, and prove what we can do as a group. One game at a time!!
