U9 Azzuri 6-5 win against First Touch

The performance didn’t really reflect the outcome, meaning we should have been more comfortable scoreline wise. But our desire and resilience to manage the game was really good at times, defending the goal well with some key blocks.

However at times we struggled with their direct balls in behind, but the players adjusted well and when our man to man structure was set we looked much stronger out of possession dealing with that better.

I thought our bravery, team play and decision making on the ball really improved from last week scoring some great team goals. It was also great to see players receiving the ball under pressure, putting into the practice the stuff we worked on in training. Overall, a positive team performance today 🙌

Next week, we start our Winter Competitive league phase, where we look to build on this good team performance and keep improving on that each week .
