Calcio Azzurri 3 – 1 Goole Town FC

A brilliant all-round performance from the boys, earning a well-deserved 3–1 win.

The boys controlled large spells of the game, showing real confidence in possession. We were brave playing out from the back, found the free player well and combined neatly as a team to build our attacks. Some of the football played was our best so far this season.

A key focus over the last two weeks in training has been our high pressing, and it was great to see that work paying off. The team pressed together with energy and intelligence, winning the ball high up the pitch on several occasions — and even scoring directly from it.

Overall, a performance full of bravery, teamwork and quality. Lots to be proud of and plenty to build on as we continue developing.
