City of Lancaster Triathlon (COLT) is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all its members. The club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect, be encouraged to be open at all times, and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with any member of the committee, or for junior members the club’s Welfare Officer.
As a member of COLT you are expected to abide by the following club code of conduct:
● Members must not do anything to bring the club into disrepute.
● Members must compete within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.
● Members must respect fellow competitors, coaches and officials.
● All members must not take any kind of banned or illegal performance enhancing substances. ● Members must not litter when competing or training with the club.
● Members should keep to agreed timings for training and events or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.
● Members must wear a cycle helmet if taking part in a club ride.
● Members must wear suitable kit and ensure bikes and other equipment are properly maintained – for training and events in compliance with the rules of the event or club guidelines.
● Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly.
● Members may not smoke at club events, meetings or whilst representing the club at competitions. At club social events members may smoke according to the rules of the venue.
● Members may not consume alcohol or non-medication drugs of any kind at club events, meetings or whilst representing the club. At club social events members may consume alcohol according to the rules of the venue.
Any discriminatory, offensive and violent behaviour is unacceptable and complaints will be acted upon in accordance with the complaints policy of the club
