Our Shared Commitment
By accepting these Club Membership Terms, you confirm that you understand and support the principles and expectations outlined within the documents above.
As members of Woking Cougars FC, we all share responsibility for:
- Creating a positive, safe and enjoyable environment for every player.
- Supporting the long-term development and wellbeing of children both on and off the pitch.
- Treating players, coaches, volunteers, opponents, referees and spectators with respect.
- Encouraging effort, learning, resilience and enjoyment over short-term results.
- Supporting coaches to coach and players to learn by avoiding sideline coaching during training sessions and matches.
- Helping create positive matchday environments where respect for referees and all participants is expected.
- Communicating respectfully and constructively with coaches, volunteers and other members.
- Keeping contact details and player availability up to date within SportMember.
- Supporting the club's player development and placement philosophy, recognising that players develop at different rates and may move between environments over time where this best supports their continued development.
A Volunteer-Led Club
Woking Cougars FC is powered by volunteers.
Our coaches, AGMs, team administrators, committee members and many others give their time freely to provide opportunities for hundreds of children each week.
We ask all members to recognise and respect the contribution of our volunteers and to work collaboratively with them in creating the best possible experience for every player.
A Living Framework
The documents referenced above are reviewed periodically to ensure they continue to reflect the club's philosophy, values and approach to player development.
Members will be notified of any significant updates.
