🥋 Easter Triumph at the Fakenham Fun Run – Huge Congratulations to Lockie and Sensei Matt! 🏅
On Easter Sunday, two of our own showed exactly what it means to embody the spirit of judo — “Fall seven times, stand up eight.”
Young Lockie, one of our club’s youngest judoka, took part in the Fakenham Fun Run and raised a phenomenal £100 towards our mat fund! That’s a huge achievement — not only did he run the course with determination, but he did so with medals round his neck, a smile on his face, and the proud support of the whole club behind him. Well done, Lockie — you’re an inspiration in a white belt!
Also taking part was Sensei Matt, who has undergone an extraordinary transformation since last year’s run. Matt has lost seven stone in weight and shaved more than ten minutes off his run time. Last year, he finished in the bottom 20 runners — this year, he was 13th in the over 50s category and 169th overall out of 300+ competitors. A remarkable achievement that demonstrates true perseverance, grit, and the values we hold dear in judo.
Thank you both for representing North Norfolk Judo with such pride and positivity.
