Boys U11's Lightning - Bedworth United greenbacks

Bedworth United Greenbacks 6 v 1 Stockton Lightning U11 Boys

On the synthetic pitch at Bedworth United in the cold this morning. A game that will need some analysis and thinking to work out.

We used a different formation, 3-2-1 and started so well, going 1 up and looking in control, as the first half wore on Bedworth got more into it and we found ourselves 2-1 down, at halftime, but still well in the game.

Second half it just didn’t seem to work for us, but we shouldn’t forget we didn’t get the rub of the green with decisions and hit the post 3 times as well as other good chances, on another day one small thing can make a big change to a game.

We can play better than we did today, we were up against a good team, but I don’t feel they are above our level.

We’ll have a regroup and talk about what, if anything, we can do differently and what went right.

Still have to say it’s a good effort from the lads even if it didn’t go our way.
