Today did not go our way, 3 consecutive goals really put us on the back foot. I think the boys did really well and to be honest the games score line was not reflective of how we played.

The second half is when our team came alive, I asked them to ensure that we shut the other team out and the team again listened and delivered. We did not let any goals in the second half while creating 6 or 7 chances that if we converted we would have easily one.

I called out two players Ciaran in defence stepped up and really disrupted their counter attacks he was covering his team mates effectively and did not let his head go down. Second player was Arian, he made 4 crucial saves in the second half that kept the opposition away.

Finally the parents player was Dakshin who played effectively in defence and midfield and really gave it a 110% out there.

It is important to keep emphasising to the lads that they are here to learn and develop but at the same time have fun.

We will keep working on their fitness and positioning in training and go again next Sunday.
