Match Report: Newbridge vs Naas Prem u12

Newbridge vs Naas Prem u12 was good game played under warm conditions with both sides giving it their all. Naas had the better play but were unlucky again not to come away with something.

First Half Highlights:

Naas started brightly with early chance from Kate that went wide. Evie followed up with delivery from the left with Amelia unlucky not to put Naas one up. Naas looked dangerous on the right wing with good link up play between Rosie and Amelia. Amelia was very unlucky again with a header that went past the post.

Despite the great play, Newbridge took their first chance on goal in counter move to put the home side 1-0 up. Even with extreme heat conditions Naas played with energy throughout first half with Annabel and Kate in central midfield. The pressure put on the Newbridge all first half eventually paid off with Kate having another great finish, her 5th goal of the season. 1-1 was the score at half time.

Second Half Highlights

Second half started more slowly with both teams looking tired in the heat. Newbridge sat back with the tactics to hit Naas on the counter. This eventually paid off with Newbridge taking the lead again. 2-1.

Naas went in search equaliser and introduced Alana to give energy to midfield. Naas's defensive unit of Laurel, Faye and Grace were solid as usual with Lauren having another solid performance in goal.

Despite all hard work, it was Newbridge who came away with the victory this time around. Naas prem girls had another good performance, the results will definitely come.
