Razor FC v Whitchurch (Home)

Another higher division match up against Div 2 Whitchurch and yet another game where we showed we are at the level of these higher teams. Arguably we were the better team during the first half, going toe to toe all over the pitch and creating a number of chances throughout the half. Unfortunately we didn't take those chances and Whitchurch managed to score from their second chance of the game. The second half was a great physical battle between both teams with not many chances of note as both teams cancelled each other out. Defensively the boys were superb. My only gripe today is rather than have the composure to build up some passing moves we booted the ball away when we won it, more often to not straight back to the opposition to attack again. I expressed the importance of retaining the ball and choosing the right time to attack. If they can get that right then next season they will be unstoppable in Division 4.

My man of the match was Parker, his first half performance at LWB was brilliant, going up against larger players, showing the right type of aggression, calm on the ball and already and excellent on pitch talker.
