Match Report: Dunlavin vs Naas boys u10 Orange

The home side hung to 6-5 win with Naas unlucky not to complete a great comeback.

Naas started brightly but were unlucky to go down to an early lead against the run of play, 1-0 Dunlavin. Daragh deputising in goal today pulled off a string of good saves to keep the home side at bay. Naas then equalised with some excellent play from Cody down the right wing,brillant right field cross from Ollie for Matt to slot home a great goal 1-1.

Naas had great chances from Ollie and John M but Dunlavin keeper produced a string of excellent saves. Dunlavin struck 2 goals in quick succession to go 3-1 up. They would get another one before half time 4-1.

Naas made some changes putting Evie on left wing. It did not take long for her to get on scoresheet 4-2.

Dunlavin again struck just as Naas were coming on strongly 5-2.

Naas turned the game at the end with John M two great strikes 5-4. Padraig, John D and Jack never gave up all afternoon pushed Dunlavin back into their own half as Naas went in search of equaliser. However the home side went 6-4 up. John M pulled another one back but it was too late for Naas to get an equaliser.

Good performance from the lads, they kept going all afternoon,the Dunlavin keeper was probably the difference in terms of Naas not coming away with the win.
