UFCA U13 yellows 2-1 Team 7 80

The game started very competitive and extremely tense with neither team managing to create a chance in the first 20 minutes leaving the score 0-0 going into the second quarter.

UFCA started the second quarter on the front foot and started to create chances but failing to capitalize whilst being on the front foot. Some excellent pressing left team 7 80 unable to play out and resorting them to long balls from their goalkeeper and defenders which the UFCA back line handled superbly

going into the third quarter a tense first 20 minutes eventually found the first goal of the game after a long ball found their striker and he was brought down in the box to give Team 7 80 a penalty which was dispatched to make it 1-0 against the run of play.

However a change of shape to a 4-4-2 diamond prevailed and Alex slotted a tidy finish into the bottom corner just before the end of the third quarter to make it 1-1.

Going into the final quarter with all to play for, Oscar finished to make it 2-1 to UFCA with 15 minutes left to play. The final 15 UFCA had to dig in to protect their lead and was executed superbly with the lads defending with determination. The final 10 minutes UFCA changed to a 5-4-1 to see the final moments of the game out with was expertly done with no chances being able to be created from 7 80.

Overall a great performance rewarded with a great 3 points which should give the boys real confidence going into the coming games.

Well done to everyone involved and great attitude from everyone single player which was great to see and exactly what we deserved from a really unlucky start to the season so far👍
