Girls U10's Lionesses - Balsall and Berkswell

A cold and soggy second game of the season for the girls but yet again they did us proud. A close game but an unfortunate loss.

First half saw us pushing into the Balsall half with great runs from Charlotte, Scarlett, Bea, Amelia and Darcey but we just couldnt seem to get the ball out of our feet. We also saw some great defending from Eva, Hattie, 'little' Grace, Grace B and some great saves from Grace D. We got the ball and were looking very determined, the ref had blown the whistle to say the ball was out but it couldn't be heard by the players so they all carried on playing with Bea putting the ball in the back of the net but the goal wasn't allowed and we went back to the kick in where we unfortunately lost possession and they broke through our defence and scored a goal. The girls kept their heads up and kept battling.

As we started the second half the rain kicked in but the girls didn't let that stop their battling. We continued to push against Balsall but still just couldn't find the net. Unfortunately as we got tired, cold and wet we stood and watched at times and conceded 2 goals but the girls didn't let that get to them and if anything became more determined. A great run by Amelia that she fired into the back of the net meant we'd scored and had another positive to take away from the game along with the constant battling and team development.

Another amazing game and the girls continue to grow and develop as a team and we can see they're really taking on board what we say at training. Well done girls ❤️🖤
