U11 Calcio Select - Lmao white

Tough game for the boys today, losing to LMA 4-1.

First half lma showed their cards, playing wide looking to cross to a narrow, packed box. Their lack of shape clearly confused the boys, pulling us out of position where we failed to transition well after recovering the ball.

Second half was much better but without being able to finish the attack. I was happy with our hold up play and the way we played through midfield, much tidier than the opposition in this respect. Still a bit of work to do out wide, giving options to play out in our familiar wide diamond. I'm sure once the new players get settled and more familiar with this pattern of play the results will follow.

Coach Jake chose Isaac as MoM, applying the front foot touch hold up play perfectly as we practiced last night at training.
