U9 Calcio Talent and Select - Wakefield School Boys
A highly competitive game, against a good opponent. Made this a great fixture. Overall, I thought it was a fantastic team performance from the boys, as they always looked to keep doing the right things in possession, showing great composure and decision making.
In transitions & defensive moments we looked really solid as well, working as a team to defend and be compact when we needed to be and our counter pressing was well executed at the right times and individuals showed good aggressive & was on the front foot when defending in 1v1 duels.
It was a fantastic team performance, but I would also like to highlight a few individual performances, that really impressed me too. Harry’s energy to win the ball for his team and his passing really shone, having a huge impact on the game. Alex T composure on the ball and ability to find a free player, helped us escape pressure many times. Ollie movement has much improved looking to support teammates, making short passing angles to help them escape pressure, also scored 2 well taken goals and got a brilliant assist through a great switch of play. Ronan ball striking & finishing ability helped us finish our attacks in style. Scoring a fantastic hat trick.
