U11 Blacks 26/27 - MLFA Blacks

A difficult morning for the U11s Blacks as we went up against a strong MLFA Blacks side and came away with an 11-1 defeat.

The scoreline doesn’t reflect the effort and commitment the boys showed throughout the game. We knew we were facing a tough opponent, but the players continued to work hard, try to play football and support each other right until the final whistle.

There were moments where we showed good passages of play and created opportunities, and getting a goal on the scoresheet was a reward for the boys’ persistence. However, we found it difficult to deal with the pressure and intensity of MLFA, and there are certainly areas of our game that we need to improve.

As a manager, these are the games that can teach us the most. We need to take the positives, learn from the mistakes and come back to training ready to work on the things that let us down today.

Most importantly, the boys need to understand that one result doesn’t define them. We will stick together as a team, keep working hard and use today’s experience to help us improve.

A tough result, but plenty for us to learn from. Keep your heads up, boys — we go again next week. 👏⚽
