U13 Yellows 1 - 5 Ripon City Panthers (Away)
The boys were fantastic on Saturday! I asked them to work hard, stay together, and be brave on the ball, and they delivered on every front. The final scoreline doesn't reflect the effort and some of the quality of the football we played - they truly deserved more out of the game.
Match Highlights:
Great Character: In the final quarter, I challenged the team to reset and push forward. They took the lead and held strong right until the last few minutes to finish the quarter 1-1.
Captain Max: Max Ramsden wore the armband for the match, taking on the extra responsibility with a brilliant, positive attitude.
Team Effort: Every single player put in a great shift and contributed really well throughout the match.
Injury Update: Dan was having an absolute stormer at CDM before unfortunately having to come off in the third quarter after a heavy tackle. We’ve since learned that he’s broken his foot and suffered ligament damage. Wishing Dan a very speedy recovery!
Overall, there are heaps of positives to take away and the whole team should hold their heads high.
⚽ Goalscorer: Tobias (Penalty) — Tobias worked brilliantly to earn the spot-kick, using some clever footwork in the box to draw the defender into making a challenge. After being brought down, he stepped up and finished with aplomb!
