Boys U15 (2011) Major 2 Blue - Clane Unites M1

Probably the best performance of the season by the team, saw a dominate win against a very strong side in M1 league leaders, Clane United. The 1:3 scoreline not an accurate reflection of the intense pressure put in by the lads, with many shots on target, saved by a talented keeper.

The first half, as with most of the game, was all attack from Naas, but it was 30 minutes before Cian scored from a great attack up the wing from Senan, 0:1 at half time.
The second half, was more of the same, with constant pressure from Naas, and it was 15 minutes in when Fionn took a great goal from a rebound shot from Senan, 0:2! Three minutes later Senan hit the target after a great attack up the wing and pass from Niko, 0:3.

Many more chances came our way but the Clane keeper, to his credit kept the score to 3 for Naas. And only for a great strike from the Clane number 10, that’s the way it would have stayed! The final score 1:3.

Many players put in a great performance on the night and none more than Niko, who deserved a couple of goals with amazing attack play all throughout the match, but having to settle for setting one up for Senan!

Another great win for the lads and we remain unbeaten this season.

Derry Rovers the next challenge in the Shield who are a Major team. This will be another great challenge for the lads that based on last nights performance they will be well up for!
