Stockton juniors u12 vs Hartshill U12

This mornings game was a very close encounter with lots of good football played by both teams

First half started a little slow for Stockton with them struggling to get the ball down and find eachother. The did create a few chances however mainly down the right hand side with Chace and Ben linking up well to get in behind the full back but unfortunately unable to find the final pass or shot at goal. Harsthill took the lead on the 20th minute with a rare indirect free kick in the penalty area was converted. As the half went on Stockton started to find their rhythm but were unable to get themselves level before half time.

Half time 0-1

Second half was all Stockton with the boys playing some of the best football they have played all season. They got themselves level after Chace forced a mis kick from the goalkeeper and was able to hold the defender off and find the bottom corner. They quickly got a second goal after a corner from Dougie was delivered into the box and the ball was turned in by a Hartshill player. Stockton continued to create chances and shots at goal but were unable to extend the lead. With 7 minutes to go Hartshill scored twice both from corners which Stockton were unable to clear.

Final score 2-3

A great morning of grassroots football with Stockton unfortunately being on the wrong end of the result but lots of good football shows the boys are working really hard!
