BedHead Youth U11 NAVY vs EFA Jaguars

Great job everyone!

Today we had a very good game. From the beginning, we looked like the stronger team. Our midfield dominated the pitch, allowing us to move the ball from one side to the other, take players on 1v1, and create chances.

Our defence was also very solid. The defenders managed to neutralise their attackers and showed great maturity in their play. They delayed well, waited for the right moment, and then made the challenge. Our positioning, communication and aggression have improved a lot since last year, and we dominated our duels.

The pitch was in very poor condition, which made things difficult. Some of our clearances were not as good as usual, and our passing was not at the level we wanted. However, given the circumstances, we did very well.

We were the team that wanted the ball, wanted to compete, and wanted to win the most.

The atmosphere within the team is brilliant, and today showed what we are capable of. Playing three divisions higher than last season and winning 7-1 proves that we can compete at this level and potentially go even further.

There are still things we need to improve. Our spatial awareness is one of them, as it affected our game at times. We need to move the ball quicker and think ahead, especially around the box. We need to scan more and be aware of where we are, where our teammates are, and what we want to do next. Many chances were stopped because we took too long to make decisions, which made things much more difficult for ourselves.

Overall, we played brilliantly. I really enjoyed seeing you all come together and play some quality football. It was great to see the teamwork, commitment and desire from everyone.

Congratulations on a great performance and a well-deserved win! Enjoy it — you earned it.

I would also like to thank all the parents for being there with us. It is always a pleasure having you with us and seeing your support from the sidelines. It really means a lot to the team.

Well done everyone! 👏⚽️
